BAPTISM

Helping Kids Take the Next Step in Their Faith Journey

Baptism is a beautiful and important part of following Jesus—and it’s especially meaningful for children, youth, and students who are growing in their faith. At Canyon Lake Community Church, we practice believers’ baptism, which means that once someone has trusted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we encourage them to publicly declare that faith through baptism.

This includes kids and teens who are ready to say, “I’ve decided to follow Jesus!”

Baptism is more than just a public statement—it’s a powerful picture of identifying with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection. It’s a way to show the world that we belong to Him and that our lives have been changed by His grace.

To help families walk through this important step, we’ve created a resource for parents to use at home. It’s designed to guide conversations and help your child understand what baptism means, and to confirm that they’re ready to take this step.

Once you’ve gone through the resource together and your child is ready, we invite you to schedule a meeting with one of our pastors. During that time, we’ll talk with your child about their faith, their decision to be baptized, and walk through the practical details—like choosing a date, service time, and how to prepare for this special moment.

We’re excited to walk alongside your family as your child takes this next step in their journey with Jesus!
